Our 3D printing initiation features a training session with an expert, an introduction to free and opensource slicing software and you first 3d prints made from a plastic filament!
You will learn how to set up the machine, how to get the file ready to print.
You will lauch your first 3d print, learning how to avoid most common errors. At the end you will take with you the finished object.
This workshop is suitable for you either if you are totally new to 3d modeling or you are an expert.
If you have never 3d modeled before we will introduce you to the most simple softwares and the basic skills.
If you know how to model we will guide you through the process of designing a good 3d printable object.

We have a Prusa i3 MK3 and a Creality Ender3V3 as an FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling), and an Elegoo Mars Pro for high precision resin 3D printing. The initiation course focuses on the FDM technique, with hints about the resin 3D printing process.
Advance booking is required;

duration: 4 hours (two lessons of 2 hours each)
Slicing software and filament for your first prints are included.

The cost does not include Lofoio Association membership, which cost 20 euros/year (356 days from the day of registration).
Our registration fees cover out-of-pocket costs of the activities we make.
That’s why we ask for advance booking and payment.
If any impediment to partecipate arises between the initiation registration and the event, please inform us: we will try to find someone to substitute you in time and your payment fee will remain valid for other activities.
In case Lofoio should cancel or postpone the event, you are entitled to a refund.

Prusa i3MK3 or Creality Ender3V3, FDM printing: 6 euros to set the printer + 4 euros/h for the printing time.
Plastic filament is included.
We suggest you bring a laptop and your Gcodes ready-to-print.
The cost is the same for failed prints, which may occour!
Elegoo Mars Pro, photopolymer resin: €6 for a print launch + €0.50 per milliliter.
The required resin is included in the cost. We recommend bringing your laptop or the finished file on an SD card. The price doesn’t change if the print fails: it refers to the use of the tool and materials, not the finished object.
